Gavin Adin is an actor, world champion powerlifter and founder, which makes for an unusual calendar: heavy squats in the morning, auditions in the afternoon, team calls in the evening.

Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, and schooled in New Jersey, Gavin now lives in Stamford, Connecticut, forty minutes from the city. He reads fantasy, enjoys the occasional cigar, and wants two things: to be great, and to show other people they can be too.

The platform

Gavin entered his first powerlifting meet in 2019. Two years later he became a world champion. He has since set multiple world records and was the first lifter in the 93 kg class to break the 900 kg total.

He won the IPF Junior World Championship in the 93 kg class and has competed at multiple Open World Championships and multiple Sheffield Championships, the sport's invitation-only showcase for the best lifters in the world. He is now building toward the Powerlifting America Classic Open Nationals in February 2027. The sport taught him most of what he knows about preparation, pressure and patience.

The screen

Gavin is a New York actor and SAG-AFTRA member, represented by Bright Artists Management.

He trained at LaGuardia Acting Studio and auditions for film, television and video game roles out of New York. He also writes and produces his own material, and is currently writing a feature film and producing a documentary on his own powerlifting career. His influences run from Guy Ritchie's crime films to comic-book heroes and historical epics, and those are the worlds he is working to act in and to write: physical, grounded roles, the protector with a big heart, the man who can carry a fight scene and the quiet scene after it.

The content

Gavin has built an audience of more than 500,000 across YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, with content about training, style and the life in between.

The audience came from powerlifting skits and education. The next chapter is lifestyle, mindset and menswear: the day as it actually happens, from the gym in the morning to the meeting in the afternoon to the sitdown at night, with the same discipline underneath it all.

The business

Gavin is the founder of two companies: IRONCLAW, a gym chalk brand built for strength athletes, and Threxus, a luxury performance coaching company for executives, founders and athletes who want elite results without putting their lives on hold.

He began coaching in 2018, while still at Colgate, and has worked with more than 500 athletes and clients since, first under his own name and now under Threxus, which pairs training with the sports psychology he studied. He is an ISSA certified personal trainer and has been mentored by some of the best coaches in the sport. Along the way he has partnered with brands including GNC, Myprotein, SBD, AYBL and NutraBio.

The stage

Gavin speaks on performance, pressure and the psychology of doing hard things, drawing on a world title, a degree in cognitive and behavioral psychology and years of coaching.

He has worked closely with sports psychologist Dr. David Cook and delivered a keynote at his Greatness conference. A TEDx talk is next. He is available for keynotes, team sessions and panels.
